Record: The longest World Chess Championship Game in History

Game 6 of the World Championship 2021 in Dubai is still going after 7 hours of intense fighting. The defending World Champion, Magnus Carlsen and the Challenger Ian Nepomniachtchi are giving the fight of their lives and just a while ago they reached move 125. This is officially the longest World Chess Championship game in history, beating the 124-move Game 5 of the 1978 Karpov-Korchnoi match!

After 136 moves and 7 hours 45 minutes the game ended in a resounding win for Magnus Carlsen.
