Super Chess League is founded with the vision to inspire junior players to nurture their problem-solving skills, resilience, and discipline via the 1st edition of the Super Chess League. This is an ideal 'off-season' practice tournament in anticipation of the Inter-school Chess Tournament in early 2024. Proposed Format (tentative): - 30 rapid games (15 mins, no increment). - 3 games per week. - Swiss system, FIDE rated (subject to approval). - Ages 7 to 9 as of 1 January 2023. - Up to 50 participants from primary and international schools. - June to Sept 2023. - Every Sunday at 8 am to 9am Singapore time. - Hosted on ChessArena.com (the official platform of FIDE). Prizes: - Top 5 for Under 7, 8, and 9. Entry Requirements: - $80 (before 1 April 2023), $120 (before 1 May 2023), or $150 (before 31 May). - Entry fee may be waived for deserving juniors from low-income families (Email XXX with a signed letter of support from the school teacher). - FIDE ID. - Paynow (XXX).
