Esipenko (Probably) Falls Asleep During the Game, Loses to Nakamura

We all remember the World Champion Magnus Carlsen “sleeping” in his Championship match against Anand in 2014. Esipenko is “sleeping” as well right before his game against Hikaru Nakamura in Round 2 of the FIDE Grand Prix 2022.

During his 2014 World Championship match against Viswanathan Anand, Carlsen created a buzz on Twitter after a picture of him dozing off appeared on social media.
