Chess players have their own, special list for the chess resolutions of the year, but for those who are still in the process of strategizing their next steps, we are here to help you!

Solve at least 1 tactic problem per day

Tactics sharpen your mind and make you more efficient and accurate in a chess game. One tactic per day is 365 tactics by the end of the year!

Become an expert in the pawn endgame

Pawn endgames are fundamental for understanding every endgame. Also, they will give you the flexibility to evaluate any possibility of transitioning from the middlegame to a pawn endgame.

Finally learn how to checkmate with bishop and knight

Although it is an elementary endgame, the bishop and knight checkmate has their complexities and must be studied seriously. Spend the necessary time, not only to learn it but to be able to do it in under 90’’!

Attend at least 5 Masterclasses

What is better than learning from and connecting to the most brilliant chess minds? World Chess gives you the opportunity to join a series of monthly masterclasses and Q&A sessions with the world’s top grandmasters.

Read at least 6 new chess books

Chess books are a great source of information and are definitely very important for chess players of all levels. Books not only give you knowledge but guide you to apply it in your own games.

Make chess friends that will keep you accountable for your chess goals

Chess has tons of enthusiasts and friends of the sport. Find your own, discuss with them, learn and play together, so that you achieve your chess goals easier. Join our community, and start connecting!

Get or increase your online rating

The FIDE online rating is just like a regular FIDE rating, but online! In order to get and improve it you don’t have to travel the world and participate in official offline tournaments. Instead, you play online and participate in FOA Rated online tournaments and earn online titles recognized by FIDE.

Get your online title and share your story

FOA gives you the opportunity to become an online Grandmaster! You get your FΟΑ ID and compete with other members all over the world. When you get any title, you get to share your story with all of our community.

Learn one new opening with white and black

There are many players who are so obsessed with openings that they rely their whole training on studying them. But actually, grandmasters don’t suggest this, unless you have reached a certain level.

Play and analyze

Playing without analyzing, can turn out as a huge waste of learning opportunities. Play online at FIDE Online Arena and practice.

Watch every big tournament

2022 has some major events that you can’t miss. Tata Steel 2022, Grand Prix Series, the Candidates, and many more are going to be broadcast at https://chessarena.com/broadcasts. Don’t miss them, as they will teach you how elite players think!

Happy New Year from the whole team of World Chess and FIDE Online Arena
