The Last Chess Clock You Will Ever Need

Meet the Club Clock — the first chess clock designed for modern gameplay. Simple, customizable, and built for the speed of bullet, blitz, and rapid. Part of a special partnership between World Chess and No Moderation.

Thanks to the popularity of Netflix’s The Queen’s Gambit, you might be already playing chess. But if you want to take your game to the next level and start competing, you’re going to need a chess clock. Chess clocks were first introduced in England in 1883, and enhanced by the great Bobby Fischer, whose “Fischer time control” changed the game by adding additional time after each move.

Inspired by modernist Soviet space architecture, No Moderation designed and developed a beautiful (and free!) chess clock app in collaboration with World Chess, the organizer of the World Chess Championship cycle events. World Chess worked closely with renowned chess players to ensure that this new app is superior to even a traditional physical chess clock.

The Club Clock makes it easier than ever to set up time controls and define favorite increments, crucial for bullet, blitz, and rapid play. No detail was too small for the consideration of the design team, it’s rare to find an app that is so beautiful, responsive, and satisfying to use. Since it’s release just a few days ago, the Club Clock by No Moderation and World Chess has been praised by competitive chess players and fans alike.

World Chess, which manufactures the official chess set used in the Championship Matches and other top level events, recommends the Club Clock as their official app for the Club Chess Sets.

The game of chess is having a moment. Millions of people have taken to playing chess again, an explosion in popularity that hasn’t been seen since Garry Kasparov lost to IBM’s Deep Blue computer in 1997. Now, this growing community has a free, beautiful chess clock at the ready wherever they go.
