IM Bibisara Assaubayeva Reigns Supreme at the 9th Queens Wednesday Tournament

With an awe-inspiring score of 10.5/11, IM Bibisara Assaubayeva left her mark on the 9th Queens Wednesday Tournament last night. Her commanding lead of 2 whole points over the second and third-place finishers, who tied with 8.5/11, secured her the first place, and $300.

The ninth edition of the QueensWednesday Tournament was marked by intense competition and electrifying matches, with participants vying for victory on the virtual chessboard. Despite the fierce competition, Assaubayeva’s performance stood out as a shining example of excellence, earning her not only the title of champion but also a prize of $300.

Joining Assaubayeva on the podium were IM Teodora Injac, who secured the second position and $250, and WGM Savitha Shri Baskar, who claimed the third spot and $200. Rounding out the top five were IM Vantika Agrawal and IM Le Thao Nguyen Pham, both of whom showcased their determination throughout the tournament.
