The moment Pragg took down the World Champion he became the youngest player to beat Carlsen since he became World Champion in 2013 and the third Indian GM to win against the Norwegian GM.

The news circulated Twitter with the China Correspondent for The Hindu, Ananth Krishnan, congratulating Pragg, and the famous international cricketer Sachin Tendulkar stating that Pragg “made India proud”!

Also, the whole chess community celebrated Pragg’s win and sorted the Indian GM among the favorites to challenge the World Champion for the title!

But Pragg’s success didn’t stay on Twitter. International media made him a headline overnight including AlJazeera, ESPN, and CNN

Also, NDTV featured Pragg on “The News”

It is indeed a wonderful feeling that the young prodigy must be feeling while he continues his fight at the Champions Chess Tour. Watch Pragg play today, at 6PM CET, on the World Chess broadcasting page.
